Community Spot Lights

What Are Community Spotlights?

Every week and month, QuestLog randomly selects one Indie Game, one Community, and one Creator to spotlight on the Discover page.

No voting. No paying. No politics. The system picks randomly from everything published on the platform. So every indie dev, every community, and every creator has an equal shot.

Indie Game of the Week/Month

A published game from Indie Heroes gets featured at the top of Discover. If you're a dev, make sure your game page is filled out with cover art, description, links. This way you make a great first impression when your turn comes.

Community of the Week/Month

An approved community gets featured. New members discover you. Make sure your community has a banner, description, and tags set up.

Creator of the Week/Month

A featured creator gets highlighted. Keep your profile and stream links current.

How to Get Featured

Just be here. Submit your game to Indie Heroes, list your community, register as a creator. The wheel spins every Monday for weekly picks and the 1st of every month for monthly picks.

That's it. No algorithm. No boost. Just fair rotation.

Update NEW

Indie Heroes - Currated Indie Games is live!

Ryven -

We just shipped something we've been quietly building toward for a while, and we're genuinely excited about it.

What's New

Indie game developers can now join QuestLog, submit their game to Indie Heroes, post devlogs and updates directly to their game page, and connect with gamers who actually want to find the next hidden gem. Gamers can follow devs, drop feedback on the wall, and help surface games that deserve way more attention than they're getting.

Why It Matters

This isn't a storefront. There's no algorithm burying you. No pitch deck required. Just a place where a dev can say "I just shipped a patch at 2am and I'm exhausted" and the people reading it are the same ones staying up playing their game.

We're gamer-first here - always will be. But indie devs? You're kind of exactly who we built this for. The ones making games because they love games, not because a publisher told them to.

Get Involved

If you're a dev - submit your game
If you know one who's been grinding in silence - send them the link.

The community finds the gems. The devs find their people. That's the idea.

Update

Threaded Replies, @Mentions, Creator Schedules & More

Ryven -

Threaded Discussions

LFG group discussions and Community Space walls now support true threading. Reply to any message and your reply nests under it. Reply to a reply and it nests deeper. Full tree structure - no more flat piles.

@Mentions

Type @ followed by a username in any Post, LFG discussion or Community Space wall post and a live autocomplete dropdown appears. Select a member to tag them. Their name renders as a clickable pill linking to their profile.

LFG Group Discussions

Every LFG group has a full discussion board. Members and the group creator can post messages, reply in threads, react with emoji, attach GIFs and images, tag games, and @mention each other - all inside the group page.

Creator Stream Schedules

Creators can now set their weekly stream schedule (days + time range + timezone) from their Creator Profile page. Visitors see the schedule converted to their own local timezone automatically.

What's New Page

This page! Platform announcements now live at a dedicated spot so they don't get buried. Look for the NEW badge on the top nav whenever something is posted here.

Give Feedback

Use the Give Feedback button pinned to the bottom of the sidebar on every page to report bugs, suggest features, or leave general feedback. It goes directly to the team.

Game Tag Links

Clicking a game tag on any LFG post or Community Space wall now opens the game's Steam page or IGDB page directly instead of the LFG browse filter.

Bug Fixes

  • Custom emoji picker in LFG discussions now loads correctly on first open
  • Reply button on child messages was missing - fixed
  • What's New and Feedback pages now correctly maintain your login session
